Working in our first greenhouse - yesterday we stuck 18,000 unrooted alpine geranium cuttings in packs, to fill mostly online geranium orders (larsonsgeraniums.com). Now they are under mist until they form roots, which takes a few weeks. We will begin starting seeds very soon! Spring is here πŸ™‚

Vandals toppled and poured diesel fuel on 100 beehives, killing 200,000 bees.

Very sad to hear!

Vandals destroyed 50 beehives in Iowa, killing more than half a million bees. The owners of this bee and honey operation were devastated to find clumps of bees in the snow: "Every hive was knocked over..." http://cbsn.ws/2q2rY4v
