PAUL
AND JOYCE LARSON, owners
PAUL
graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s
degree in Horticulture. His
lifelong love of plants began with gardening while on his
family’s dairy farm. He
worked at a family greenhouse business in his hometown of Woodstock,
and also as a manager at a large wholesale grower.
In 1998, he came home
to work full-time at the growing Sprucedale Gardens business, and has
been very busy ever since! Paul is also involved in church leadership, Windham County
Farm Bureau, and as a member of the Connecticut Invasive Plants
Council, a group that provides information and advice to state
legislators on the invasive plant issue.
Paul is a former president of the Connecticut Nursery and
Landscape Association.
JOYCE
graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s
degree in Horticulture. She
worked getting Sprucedale Gardens “off the ground” in the early
years, while taking care of three young children.
Joyce enjoys volunteering at church, being a mom and wife, and
providing landscape designs for Sprucedale customers.
